“Many companies have now finalised their IT budgets for 2023 and have commenced their recruitment as soon as possible – given the competition for IT specialists. The IT sector is one of the tightest candidate markets. Those employers who do not offer home office and hybrid working options are unlikely to attract IT talent”, said Yannick Coulange, Managing Director, Page Group Switzerland.

Across Switzerland advertised jobs showed a monthly growth of +1.4% (October – November 2022). Advertised jobs increased on a year-on-year basis by +14.4% (November 2021 - November 2022). In the German-speaking region, which accounts for nine out of ten advertised jobs, the monthly advertised jobs rose by +2.0%. The Swiss Romande recorded a monthly decline in advertised jobs of -2.6%.

Canton Zurich, which is known as an IT-hotspot, recorded the highest gains with +4.0% and +13.8% monthly and year-on-year respectively.
