Zurich, Wednesday, 27 September 2017. According to the Michael Page Swiss Job Index monthly advertised job vacancies (August – September 2017), grew by +9.5%. This is the highest increase in advertised job vacancies, over this period, since the index commenced in 2012. It tops the previous record of +8.5% achieved in September 2016 and is almost double the Index’s average August – September growth in advertised jobs of +5.1%.The Swiss Romande achieved an increase of +13.1% in advertised jobs between August and September – one of the highest growth rates recorded since 2012. The German-speaking region, which accounted for 9 out of 10 of all advertised jobs, grew by +9.1% over the same period. The growth in job vacancies was strongest in the Mid and North regions +16.9% and +10.4% growth respectively (August – September).
